With my current settings it should stay on for 6 hours or until the battery drops below 12v, then turn back on when whatever fuse I have it attached to turns back on, shouldn't it? It seems like mine is turning off then staying off until I jog it on/off. I bought the Power Magic EZ because it’s easier than tapping fuses with the hard-wire kit, but primarily because it puts the power source closer to the driver and I thought I’d be able to switch parking mode on and off without reaching into the glovebox. In my picture, I've written this in red as this is the colour of the ACC wire that Blackvue provided. F94 only provides power when the ignition is on. It was my understanding that all I needed was the PMP in line to the dash cam. Hi, For context, my setup is a Blackvue camera connected to Power Magic Pro (PMP) which is connected to the fuse box at: 1) F94 - ACC (accessory) wire. When your vehicle is switched off the Power Magic Pro. I have the the Multisafer sitting in my trunk, been so lazy to install but it apparently solves the problem. AutoInstruct is now an official Australian dealer of BlackVue Dash Cams. Its voltage cut-off and timer both prevent vehicle battery discharge. Problem is, if you do that and don't unplug the power cord over night from the dash cam itself, you will get a battery discharge warning and your PMP will also be shut off making you turn he switch on and off again. Power Magic Pro powers your BlackVue in Parking Mode using your vehicles battery. If you adjust the settings, you can have it set to infinite. Basically the Power Magic Pro is set right now to only remain on for 6 hours then it will shut off. I have the same setup except with the 650DR. It seems like a very high quality piece of kit. I sense that I have the settings incorrect on it (12v, 6 hours), what should I have them at? I used the fuses that recommends so I don't think the issue lies there.Īside from that I really like the unit with regards to picture quality and ease of install. Everything seemed to work properly when I installed it but after doing so the unit will not turn on unless I physically flip the switch on the power magic pro on and off-then it will work for the remainder of that particular ride. The BlackVue Power Magic Series (Power Magic Pro) protects your car battery from discharging and going flat.Pre-set cut-off voltages such as 12V or 12.5V. I installed my Blackvue DR600 along with a power magic pro this past weekend according to the various DIY's I was able to gather online. ![]()
